Clausing 22V Drill Press Repair

UpUp

This is a Clausing 22V drill press with a power down feed. I bought it for $200 at a factory. As a plus, it had a nice Jacobs 18N 3/4" ball bearing superchuck, but as a minus, it had a few things wrong with it.

One problem was a missing table lock lever. Another was that the cast iron variable speed arm thingy was broken and variable speed was not working. The third was a missing belt for the power downfeed pulley.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Clausing had all the parts for not too much money. If I ever become filthy rich and buy new equipment, it will be from Clausing. Big kudos to thm for providing such awesome support.

The total cost of the DP, with parts and fee paid to riggers, but subtracting the value of Jacobs superchuck, is about $250.
