Mailbox

This is a swingable mailbox. Our old fixed mailbox was hit by careless drivers and snowplows too many times. The features of this swingable mailbox are:

• It swings to the side when hit
• It is a very large mailbox that can hold two priority mail flat rate boxes
• The perforated square tubing is reinforced at the hinge point with a smaller steel channel that was inserted into the perforated tubing and welded in

Note that I made the bracket that holds the swing arm, by welding together three steel pieces.
