My First Weld

My first butt weld was done at about 110 amps, using 6013 1/8" electrode. First I welded one side. I looked at another side (see pictures) and realized that the penetration was about 80%. So, I flipped the steel piece over and welded another side. The result is an ugly weld that does not seem weaker than the rest of the piece.
